If you are selected for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, you will be sent to the distinguished San Diego County Sheriff's Academy, situated on the campus of Miramar College. Deputy Cadets will attend one of two training programs, Law Enforcement or Detentions/Courts, depending on what position he/she applied for. Both training programs are rigorous and designed to challenge you both mentally and physically. During training, you'll develop the skills and confidence you need to help the citizens of San Diego. You'll learn exactly what you're made of and how committed you are to becoming the best.
