  Sheriff's Senior Fingerprint Examiner 

Sheriff's Senior Fingerprint Examiner are first-line supervisors on an assigned shift in the Records and ID Division. Senior Fingerprint Examiners report to a Sheriff's Operations Supervisor and are responsible for writing procedures for technical and workflow operations, scheduling, training, and evaluating assigned subordinates.  This classification performs the most technical fingerprint pattern analysis and classification work.  
 

• Effective leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide technical guidance and training
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
• Experience in testifying in court as an expert witness
• Professional demeanor with other agencies and collaborative partners 
• Extensive working knowledge of AFIS software program
• Proven track record in performing fingerprint analysis and comparison work
• Capable of successfully leading a team

In addition, the department desires candidates who demonstrate knowledge of information systems, leadership skills, communicate effectively, exhibit knowledge worker traits, innovation and problem solving, ethics, initiative, motivation, adaptability, supportive of change, and are detail oriented.

Qualified applicants will be placed a 12-month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment application and supplemental questionnaire.
